Eventhough most of startups are always prepared for so-called elevator pitches, meeting investors and business angels requires more attention. The Investment Readiness Programme has invited 18 startups for have 2-day Pitching Workshop on Feb 2-3. This workshop was designed to support both entrepreneurs with little to no experience of seeking investment and those who have prior experience of pitching.
Day 1 engaged everyone to analyze the investment landscape; a guide to portfolio investment, how and where to find investors, how to pitch to investors and how to close the deal. Day 2 was dedicated to support those with limited experience of pitching to investors and provided with advice on how to approach due diligence.
Professional pitching trainers with a rich entrepreneurship experience led the workshop helping startups to train their presenting muscles and find the most bold lines to introduce their deep-tech innovation. UK-based trainers from Cambridge: Ian Tracey and Nicola Musgrove consulted each team providing needed tips tricks. Over that time, Nicola and Ian ran access to funding and finance programmes for several tens of cohorts of start-ups and SMEs, and refined the program to meet sector-specific needs.
